Video Engineering At NAB 2026
The entire business of encoding, transcoding and decoding video remains a challenging core discipline for broadcast system designers. As we look forward to another round of technology launches, announcements and partnerships, we gather all the news from vendors helping to ensure that what goes out is not only of paramount quality, but legally compliant too.
Like other parts of the broadcast chain, video engineering is navigating a period of transition. A combination of multi-screen formats and distributed production has made content production and delivery compliance more complicated than ever. The shift from SDI to IP-based infrastructures, the proliferation of source formats and codecs, and the pressure to support multiple output pipelines, has created massive operational complexities.
It all means that tools like encoders, transcoders, standards converters, QC and monitoring platforms have to fit a widening range of requirements to ensure delivery standards are maintained and legal obligations are met in modern broadcast environments.
Below you will find our selection of the NAB Show specific press releases sent to us by vendors specializing in video engineering. For The Broadcast Bridge, that means the following technology areas:
- Encoders, Transcoders & Decoders.
- Standards Converters.
- Scopes, Monitoring and QA tools.
The press releases listed below are what we have received to date - we will add new items as they come in.
