Welcome to our new series on Content Operations – Part 1 focuses on the rise of multi-screen delivery and how the production of multi-format content is aiming to feed different consumption channels, all at the same time.
Master Control has always been fundamental to broadcast but it is steadily being absorbed within the expanded conceptual framework of ‘Content Operations’. This encompasses the strategic planning and delivery of workflow and technology across the entire content supply chain.
In an age of multi-screen delivery, broadcasters are now also streamers and the boundaries between production and delivery have never been more blurred. Meanwhile, AI is bringing disruptive new possibilities, requiring more dynamic software-defined infrastructure to harness it.
This series looks at how broadcasters are producing multi-screen content to feed multiple outlets simultaneously, as well as how they are monetizing and harnessing multi-screen consumption more effectively.
