Maxon Adds Cinema 4D Lite To Adobe After Effects

Maxon, a German developer of 3G media graphics software, has added Cinema 4D Lite (C4D Lite) to its Adobe After Effects package.

Based on the company’s 3D animation package, C4D Lite is available immediately for download to Adobe Creative Cloud members.

Studio artists can now use Cinema 4D Lite to create and import 3D content into their After Effects projects, just like normal footage with the ability to extract scene data, like cameras, 3D objects, and object masks. Such scene data can then be manipulated inside After Effects, enabling users to explore the 3D motion graphics free of charge, including basic modeling, texturing, lighting and animation.

Cinema 4D Lite can be launched within After Effects or independently as a standalone application. Since it utilizes Maxon’s new entitlement system, users can upgrade at once to the full commercial version at any time directly from within Cinema 4D.
