Lightbridge CRLS C-Drive And C100 Kits Now Available At MSE

Matthews Studio Equipment announces the end of extended wait times for the much-anticipated Cine Reflect Lighting System CRLS 2.0 C-Drive and C100 Kits.

The CRLS naturalistic method of painting with light and shadow pairs proprietary high efficiency reflectors with sunlight or an optimized lighting fixture to let the artist control and modulate a concentrated light beam.

Specially designed C-Reflectors utilize a smoothly polished, coated aluminum surface that reflects up to 97% of the light hitting them, with 100% color rendering. The flatness of the reflector surfaces enables precise control of light, eliminating the hassle of containing unwanted spill light. They come in five sizes: 7x7cm, 15x15cm, 25x25cm, 50x50cm as well as 100x100cm. Each size offers 5 grades of diffusion: Diff 0 Mirror Grey, Diff 1 Punch Black, Diff 2 Sky Blue, Diff 3 Ambient Violet, and Diff 4 Super White.

The newest CRLS C-Drive Kit offers a combination of C-Reflectors and C-Wheel mounting accessories all elegantly protected and housed in a rugged wheeled flight case for easy transport, complete with sturdy wheels, steel corners and a retractable handle. The foam-lined interior offers a removable divided bin with cushy fabric lining for accessory storage. It is a perfect place to put the included C-Grip bag which holds the CRLS mounting gear: two 5/8” C-wheel receivers and two 5/8 baby pin C-wheels, two Safely Wedge Kits, a CRLS Cleaning Kit and more.

At the heart of the 16-reflector C-Drive Kit is a smartly organized series of C-Reflectors in 4 sizes: 7x7cm, 15x15cm, 25x25cm, 50x50cm—each with 4 different diffusion grades (1-4). Every C-Reflector size-group fits in a dedicated Cordura Speedbag. Within that, each of the 4 grades is further protected by separate removable neoprene sleeves with a color-coded lanyard.

After sorting out factory logistics issues, Matthews is finally stocked with C100 Kits. With the broadest surface area CRLS Reflectors in the line, each 4-Reflector Kit includes: 2 double-sided C-Frames on which four 100x100cm/39.4”x39.4” C-Reflectors are mounted, Diff 1 and Diff 2 on one C-Frame and Diff 3 and 4 on the other. Both C-Frames include a removable Mounting Yoke along with C-Protectors to safeguard each surface—4 Protectors total.
