Libero Systems Uses AJA Gear for Live Horse Racing

To guide the Turkey Jockey Club (TJK) through a recent upgrade of its broadcast and archival system, Libero Systems installed multiformat recording system, Libero Ingest built on AJA’s Corvid 44 PCIe card.

TJK organizes more than 700 equestrian races annually in nine different venues across Turkey. It broadcasts 50 hours of event coverage per week to TJK’s national channel.

Libero Ingest was selected to record and archive daily races. Using AJA’s Corvid 44 for SDI video capture enables Libero Ingest to support up to eight simultaneous streams as inputs, outputs or a combination with a single PCIe card. For media asset management, Libero Systems also installed its Libero MAM, allowing TJK to transfer recordings to the platform and more easily find and access content via search engine functionality.

“When upgrading TJK’s system, we required a reliable and hassle-free solution to record high-quality SDI camera signals during live races,” said Birkan Herguner, Head of Software Development, Libero Systems. “We chose AJA’s high-performance Corvid because of the flexible multiformat I/O support for capture and playback of SDI signals in HD. It fits perfectly to TJK’s current requirements and also provides 4K support for future workflows. Libero Ingest is a powerful solution further strengthened by AJA’s Corvid.”

In addition to Corvid 44, Libero Systems uses AJA’s full line of versatile Corvid and KONA PCIe I/O cards to support its full range of solutions, including Libero Play for multi-channel playout, Libero Hybrid for conversion and Libero Multiviewer for signal monitoring.
