Arvato Systems Debuts Vidispine Support For AWS

Arvato’s Vidispine media supply chain solution is the latest to hook itself up to AWS’s cloud based M&E plan.

Arvato says it has been working with AWS to design the ideal solution to the growing need in the media industry to maximize the value of media assets with the most efficiency. Vidispine media supply chain solutions allow customers to achieve this while offering flexibility, financial transparency, and control, it says. The API integration between Vidispine and Amazon Rekognition offers customers the chance to automatically generate time-coded metadata such as detected objects, faces, and environments in the media content. Furthermore, the Vidispine API integration with AWS Elemental MediaConvert offers content management capabilities, allowing customers to deliver VOD at scale with predictable pay-as-you-go pricing.

“As platform as a service (PaaS), VidiNet provides organizations with an excellent foundation for their media supply chain solution,” comments Holger Noske, VP Content Platform at Arvato Systems. “We are delighted to be a part of the AWS for Media & Entertainment Initiative, which will enable us to continue offering to our customers a flexible media supply chain solution in the platform of their choosing.”
