Veset And swXtch.io To Deliver Cloud Multicasting Capability To Broadcasters Ahead Of IBC

Cloud playout solutions provider, Veset, and swXtch.io, provider of cloud-based multicast and reliable networking solutions, are partnering to deliver multicasting capability in the cloud ahead of IBC 2025.
The integration of Veset’s cloud playout solution, Nimbus, with swXtch.io’s cloudSwXtch, a virtual overlay network, gives broadcasters, content owners and rightsholders a scalable, flexible and cost-effective way to transmit live video feeds to viewers.
Popular with sports broadcasting, alt-casting enables broadcasters to deliver different coverage and content to the main broadcast of an event, in order to appeal to a wider audience. Alt-casting can be used to deliver derivative channels, and to meet the demands of different countries for regional broadcasters for alternate captions, titles, etc. It can be used to deliver broadcasts to different platforms and in different formats including satellite replacement and FAST.
Nimbus is an enterprise-grade, intuitive, all-in-one, cloud-native playout solution for management and delivery of professional linear channels to any distribution platform, from traditional terrestrial digital, satellite or cable, to OTT. cloudSwXtch is a cloud-native solution that creates a virtual overlay network allowing software workloads running on virtual machines to distribute their information as if they were running on a physical network. It bridges on-prem and cloud infrastructure and enables features unavailable on cloud networks such as multicast, PTP, packet pacing, and custom packet filtering, to be implemented on the cloudSwXtch virtual network.
