LYNX Technik Announces New 4K HDMI To 12G SDI Converter With Integrated Frame Synchronizer

CHD 1412 yellobrik HDMI 2.0 to 12G SDI Converter + Frame Synchronizer in Application Example.
LYNX Technik is debuting its new 4K HDMI to 12G SDI Converter with Frame Synchronizer at the IBC 2023 exhibition.
The CHD 1412 converts an HDMI 2.0 source signal (up to 4K) to an SDI signal up to 12G. It is an ideal throw-down module or system solution for any professional video and media application where users need to convert an HDMI 2.0 signal to 12G SDI in real time and without any loss in signal quality. This new yellobrik converter complements the existing CHD 1821 HDMI to SDI converter, which supports SDI resolutions up to 3G 1080p. Both modules fulfill the need for a fully synchronized SDI input from an external asynchronous HDMI source.
The integrated frame sync will synchronize, and frequency lock the incoming signal to a broadcast station’s reference signal and allows for precise timing adjustments. This is especially useful when asynchronous HDMI sources are required in a broadcast environment. All embedded PCM audio is passed transparently from the HDMI input and embedded in the SDI output, which can be overwritten with external audio if necessary. As with many yellobriks, an SDI fiber output is available in various SFP options.
For an integrated yellobrik system solution, the new CHD 1412 yellobrik can be rack mounted with other yellobriks in the RFR 1000-1 or the new RFR 1200 rack frames. All local controls are conveniently available on the module itself, and the module is fully compatible with the LYNX Technik yelloGUI and LynxCentraal software for advanced settings, control, and configuration.
