Veset Gains ISO Certification

Veset, the cloud native linear channel management platform, has received certification in two vital areas of information security: ISO 27001 and ISO 27017. Achieving this compliant status emphasises the company’s dedication to safeguard customers’ assets.

Veset is an all-in-one cloud platform that allows for the easy creation and scheduling of new linear channels in the cloud. It develops and markets a pioneering software-as-a-service platform for broadcasters, media-content owners and service providers looking to create linear TV channels. As customers look to leverage cloud platforms to distribute video content globally, asset protection is increasingly important.

ISO/IEC 27001 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an information security management system within the context of the organisation. It also includes requirements for the assessment and treatment of information security risks, tailored to the needs of the organisation.

ISO/IEC 27017 gives guidelines for information security controls applicable to the provision and use of cloud services, by providing additional controls and implementation that specifically relate to cloud services.

Gatis Gailis, CTO, Veset, commented: "We recognise that content security is crucial for our customers and other organisations within the world of broadcasting. This is why we decided that compliance with ISO 27001 and 27017 is an important step in making vital improvements within the industry. Veset continually works to lead the way in playout solutions, and we believe this certification highlights our commitment to providing the highest levels of security.”

The award of these certifications ensures Veset’s long-term content security goals are met, while giving its users the confidence that their information is safe.
