Magewell Levels-Up All-In-One Content Production With Launch Of New Director Plus

Magewell announces the launch of their new Director Plus portable 4K production and presentation system. As the third offering in the Director line of products, Director Plus builds on existing models’ rich features with expanded HDMI I/O and IP inputs; 4K/60FPS recording and streaming; and enhanced network connectivity including an integrated 5G modem and 2.5Gbps Ethernet.

Designed for portability, Director Plus is a broadcast-grade, all-in-one 4K production and presentation system for end-to-end live video workflows. Users can flexibly ingest live AV feeds and media assets from a wide range of devices, networks, and third-party software platforms. With the ability to switch and composite a high number of sources plus powerful production features including telestration and instant replay, creators can produce visually engaging content for sports, worship, medical applications, enterprise communications, education, podcasts and more.

In line with Magewell’s “any source, anywhere” mantra, Director Plus features AV and IP input flexibility including four HDMI inputs, two USB inputs, up to ten live IP sources (including SRT, RTMP, RTSP, NDI High Bandwidth and NDI HX3), HTML web pages, file-based media assets and mobile cameras. Director Plus can simultaneously combine up to six 4K/60 sources (two HDMI, one USB, and three IP) or up to 16 1080p60 HD sources (four HDMI, two USB, and ten IP). For output, Director Plus offers two HDMI and one USB-C interface, as well as supporting NDI HX3 and streaming formats.

With enhanced network connectivity including the ability to aggregate 5G cellular connectivity, Wi-Fi and 2.5Gpbs Ethernet, Director Plus can receive and transmit multiple network streams while ensuring high-quality live streaming performance even in challenging or low-bandwidth environments. Its built-in 7” touchscreen, free Director Utility mobile app, plugins, and API support for third-party systems provide users with control options to suit their needs.
