Immersive Audio 2025: Part 2 - Object Based Audio - A New Era Of Personalization

Welcome to Part 2 of our series on Immersive Audio - This series examines the role of spatial audio in the competitive media landscape. It discusses production & delivery formats, technical production challenges and new creative tools & techniques.

Immersive Audio has always been a key subject for The Broadcast Bridge. This new series expands and replaces previous content series on the subject.

Consumer demand for immersive audio continues to grow rapidly as part of the wider demand for more immersive media experiences. New generations of consumers who have grown up with the non-linear and deeply immersive interactive experiences of gaming seek similarly enhanced experiences in their consumption of live sports and live music. Spatial audio has become a key feature in a huge range of consumer devices and a competitive differentiator in the media landscape. Immersive audio is now firmly part of the battle to attract and engage consumers.

This series takes a fresh look at the implications for the entire media production chain from acquisition, through production and onwards to delivery.
