Riedel Launches Next Generation Of SimplyLive Video Production Solutions

SimplyLive Production Suite Flex.
Riedel Communications has announced a significant expansion of its SimplyLive live production portfolio, introducing new solutions and enhancements designed to deliver greater adaptability, scalability, and integration for broadcast, sports, and live event workflows. The launch includes the new Flex licensing program for the SimplyLive Production Suite, the introduction of the RiView video review system, expanded RiMotion replay and Venue Gateway contribution offerings, and the SimplyLive Connect API for seamless third-party integration.
With the SimplyLive Production Suite Flex licensing scheme, Riedel empowers users to tailor their production environments to their operational and financial needs —whether on-premise, remote, or cloud-based. Users can now choose from a variety of hardware options and deployment models that suit their unique production goals and budget strategies —from one-time purchases to pay-as-you-go or hybrid models.
Expanding on the acclaimed RefBox software solution designed for officiating, coaching, and analytical workflows, Riedel introduced the new SimplyLive RiView bundles. RiView packages the powerful RefBox solution into cost-effective bundles for a broad range of video review needs. The RiView lineup includes RV4, RV8, and RV16, offering configurations from 4 to 16 HD inputs with synchronized multi-angle control, an intuitive touchscreen-based interface, and seamless remote operation capabilities. Multiple RiView systems can also be easily networked to accommodate large-scale review requirements. All models feature pinch-and-zoom functionality and support for super slow-motion (SSM) cameras, making them a versatile choice for refereeing, coaching, and broadcast applications.
Riedel also enhances its renowned SimplyLive RiMotion live replay solutions with the launch of RiMotion R16 and R166. The RiMotion R16 bundle provides up to 16 HD channels, while R166 offers up to 16 HD or 6 UHD channels. With advanced networking capabilities, expanded operator configurations, SSM support, and a seamless integration of both touchscreen UI and dedicated replay controllers, RiMotion R16 and R166 continue to push the boundaries of live sports and event production.
The Venue Gateway series, a trusted solution for seamless signal transport and multichannel contribution, receives a major update with the introduction of Venue Gateway 8 Standard, 8 Advanced, and 1612 Advanced. While the Standard model provides a compact, entry-level solution with eight bidirectional SDI channels, the Advanced versions introduce higher bit-depth encoding, greater networking flexibility, and support for HDR workflows. The 1612 Advanced stands as the most powerful option, offering 16 bidirectional SDI channels, expanded tally integration, and enhanced audio processing, making it ideal for large-scale productions.
Rounding out the announcements, the newly released SimplyLive Connect REST API enables seamless integration with external broadcast control systems, allowing teams to monitor, manage, and configure SimplyLive products as part of a unified production environment. Designed for modern deployment on COTS hardware or public and private cloud infrastructure, the API enhances interoperability, making production infrastructures smarter, more connected, and fully equipped to meet the demands of tomorrow’s distributed workflows.
