LYNX Technik Expands Series 5000 Platform With 12G-SDI Frame Synchronizer And Audio Processing Cards

LYNX Technik is expanding its popular Series 5000 platform with three new 12G-SDI cards. The new cards provide reliable signal handling and advanced audio processing capabilities, helping customers smoothly transition to 12G-SDI infrastructure.

The new lineup includes:

  • PVD 5400 O – 12G-SDI Frame Synchronizer
  • PDM 5248 UO DO – 12G-SDI Digital Audio Embedder/De-Embedder
  • PDM 5348 O – 12G-SDI Analog Audio Embedder/De-Embedder

Each card features an integrated optical SFP cage for fiber I/O and full compatibility with LYNX Centraal, the company’s software platform for centralized control, monitoring, and firmware updates.

The PVD 5400 O is a single-channel 12G-SDI frame synchronizer built for Television Broadcast. The card supports up to 30 frames of video delay and re-embeds all audio channels after synchronization making it well suited for studio timing correction, live production, or signal feed management.

The PDM 5248 UO DO and PDM 5348 O cards provide flexible audio embedding and de-embedding for digital (AES) and analog audio sources. Both modules support full audio processing per channel, an integrated audio mixer, and up to 32 frames of audio delay. A built-in test pattern generator ensures a valid SDI signal for embedding even when no active input is present, which is ideal for testing, troubleshooting and transporting audio in a broadcast friendly format.

These cards are a smart addition for studios and facilities upgrading to 12G-SDI, offering control via LYNX Centraal and seamless integration with the Series 5000 ecosystem. They serve as drop-in replacements for existing installations and provide a simple path to higher bandwidth video without disrupting workflows.
