CNN Brazil Enters The Connected TV Market With Veset Nimbus

Veset is enabling CNN Brazil to distribute its Brazilian news-based channel to Samsung TV Plus, using Veset Nimbus. CNN Brazil has previously been primarily distributed through cable TV and its YouTube channel, and this is the first step in bringing the channel onto Connected TVs.

Veset Nimbus is an enterprise-grade cloud playout solution for advanced linear TV channel origination and management. Using Veset Nimbus, CNN Brazil can make impromptu changes to the programming as required by live news events. With SCTE-35 support, Veset Nimbus’ ad insertion capabilities enables CNN Brazil to insert ads further down the delivery chain. In addition, its scheduling functionality allows the CNN Brazil team to use its existing traffic system to plan scheduling.

This also features a range of all-in-one channel creation tools including live stream and file ingest, EPG, content management, multiple live switching, complex graphics insertion, playout, and encoding. Veset Nimbus includes ABR HLS ladder configuration for seamless delivery to various types of devices, no matter the internet connection speed.

Based on AWS, Veset Nimbus allows CNN Brazil to plan for future expansion, both globally and to other platforms.
