Leader Offers Expanded Feature Set For ZEN Series SDI/IP Test Instruments
Leader's LV5600 SDI/IP waveform monitor and LV7600 rasterizer.
Version 6.5 software adds extra capabilities that SDI-based customers have been requesting. Among these are additions to the vectorscope toolset which is now equipped to display a color bar scale and an HDR transfer characteristic.
Leader's LV5600 waveform monitor and LV7600 rasterizer running Version 6.5 software have both successfully participated in the recent JT-NM Tested Program which continues to give broadcasters insight into how vendor equipment conforms to specific SMPTE standards, AMWA NMOS specifications and selected real-world test and measurement scenarios.
First introduced during Leader’s 65th anniversary year in 2018, ZEN Series test instruments are designed for use in production studios, OB vehicles, post facilities, presentation suites and master control rooms. include the in-depth tools needed by technicians plus Leader’s intuitive CINEZONE and CINELITE which are familiar to many camera crews, editors and colorists. The series comprises five instruments:
The LV5300 and LV5350 are 12G/3G/HD/SD-SDI waveform monitors, each complete with a front panel display screen and designed for standalone, desktop or rack-mounted operation. The LV7300 offers similar features to the LV5300 and LV5350 in a 1U half-rack width rasterizer. for use with external monitors: Video display formats supported include 1080i and 1080p high definition, 4K DCI, UHD, standard dynamic range, high dynamic range and wide color gamut.
Flagship of the Leader ZEN Series is the LV5600, a mains-powered SDI/IP waveform monitor in a half-rack width 3U desktop chassis with a touchscreen front panel display. It provides all the facilities needed to monitor UHD/HD/SD SDI as well as video-over-IP signals seamlessly in a hybrid operating environment. Engineering-related features include test pattern generation, eye pattern display, closed-caption monitoring, CIE color chart, high dynamic range measurement, focus assist, adjustable screen layout, tally interface, 4K/UHD operation, 10 gigabit/s IP input and 12G-SDI interfaces. SMPTE 2022-6, SMPTE 2022-7 and SMPTE 2110 protocols are all supported.
The LV7600 is 1U full-rack-width rasterizer with similar features to the LV5600.
