swXtch.io And Evertz Bring Live Production Video To The Cloud

swXtch.io joined forces with Evertz at the recent IBC 2022 show to demonstrate how broadcast and video producers can finally harness the power of cloud networks for their most demanding workflows.

The demonstration combined core infrastructure and workflow technologies from both companies. It included Evertz’s MAGNUM-OS system to orchestrate complete signal flows representative of an on-premises SMPTE ST 2110 facility. swXtch.io’s cloudSwXtch network technology enables the ground-to-cloud IP video multicast and SMPTE ST 2022-7 switching capability for cloud networks.

IBC 2022 marked the global debut of cloudSwXtch, the first solution for the broadcast and media industry that enables on-premises network feature parity to cloud network environments. Video and broadcast producers can now access the same features, systems, and processes in the cloud as with dedicated broadcast networks. cloudSwXtch’s hitless merge feature incorporates the latest SMPTE ST 2022-7 standard for transmitting a single reconstructed output stream through two or more redundant IP networks.
