Hiltron Communications Expands Product Portfolio With Formation Of ESA Microwave GmbH

A Hiltron HMAM motorised satellite communications antenna system incorporating an ESA Microwave feed for C- and Ku-band.
Globally active satellite system integrator, manufacturer and distributor, Hiltron Communications, announces the addition to its product portfolio of microwave feed systems for ground station antennas and high performance microwave components.
Having recently purchased the assets of the former ESA Microwave Solutions GmbH, Hiltron has acquired the know-how to design, develop, manufacture and test feed systems and microwave components for the bands from S to Ka, including band combination for multi-band feeds. Hiltron can now offer multi-band feed systems for new antennas as well as retrofit and upgrade of feeds for existing antennas.
"ESA's customised feed systems and high performance microwave components complement our own range of products for the ground station market sector," comments Hiltron's managing director Antonio Monteverde. "With our in-house design and development capabilities, we are now able to offer motorised antenna mounts, antenna control units, tracking and feed systems for nearly any type of antenna reflector. We have relocated development and manufacturing of the new product line into a newly stablished subsidiary, ESA Microwave GmbH. My colleague Joachim Kaercher will supervise the corporate activity of ESA Microwave GmbH as managing director in addition to his role as Hiltron's financial director."
