NTV Mongolia Enhances Newsroom And MCR Graphics With Brainstorm Integration

Mongolia’s national television reinforces its graphics and virtual content creation by updating its NRCS operation with Brainstorm’s Neuron and Aston.
NTV Mongolia has relied on Brainstorm to transform their Newsroom and Master Control Room (MCR) operations using the company’s acclaimed graphics product line, headed by Neuron and Aston. Founded in 2006, NTV focuses its operation on News and Entertainment shows, and the Brainstorm solutions will become an integral part in the update of the channel’s looks, by including advanced real-time graphics and virtual content, from 2D stills to data-driven 3D AR graphics that improve editorial speed, enhance visual presentation, and create a more connected production environment.
The updated Newsroom will be based around Neuron, Brainstorm’s MOS-compatible, template-based system that integrates graphics creation and management into most common newsroom, continuity and broadcast traffic operation environments. The project was delivered with the support of Whiteways Systems‘ Singapore team who designed a customized solution tailored to NTV’s editorial and operational needs. The integrator played a key role in connecting Brainstorm’s real-time graphics system with the Octopus Newsroom Computer System (NRCS), ensuring seamless MOS-driven communication between editorial and graphics teams.
Along with the creation system, graphic designers will also utilize Aston player and Aston OnDemand for further playout flexibility and playlist management, on top of Neuron. Aston is a flexible solution, capable of both standalone and collaborative workflows, and its new Instances feature plays a crucial role in the creation of complex pieces by different designers, using a common project.
The successful deployment was made possible through close collaboration between NTV, Brainstorm, and Whiteways Systems, the system integrator responsible for designing and implementing the end-to-end workflow. This upgrade positions NTV among the region’s most technically advanced broadcasters, capable of delivering high-quality, graphics-rich content with speed and consistency.
