LYNX Technik Launches yellobrik PVD 1400 Compact 12G-SDI Frame Synchronizer

LYNX Technik announces the release of the yellobrik PVD 1400 12G-SDI Frame Synchronizer, an essential tool in broadcast, post-production, and professional AV installations.

Designed to synchronize multiple signals from various sources (e.g. cameras, live feeds, character generators, and playback systems), the PVD 1400 aligns the signals that have varying delays to a common timing reference. Whether it’s synchronizing live or recorded video feeds in broadcast and ProAV production, or managing multiple asynchronous SDI sources in post-production, this new yellobrik allows users to work with different resolutions and frame rates.

The PVD 1400 features 12G-SDI support for resolutions up to 4K and UHD in 4:2:2 10-bit color sampling.

This new yellobrik utilizes LYNX Technik’s robust flywheel algorithms to handle low-quality asynchronous SDI sources and smooth out timing irregularities in the video signal. It aligns incoming video signals to a specified reference, such as a house sync or genlock, ensuring perfect timing and integration with other signals in the workflow. It also automatically extracts and delays embedded audio to ensure precise synchronization between audio and video, essential for a seamless viewing experience. The programmable output delay feature (up to 30 frames) allows users to delay the video output, so everything stays in sync, like matching it with audio or other video feeds, which is critical for high-quality video production.

The PVD 1400 is rack-mountable on the yellobrik rack using the optional RFR 1001 bracket or the RFR 1000-1 and RFR 1200 rack mounts, accommodating up to 14 yellobrik modules with power redundancy. The built-in tie-wrap feature ensures secure power connection to prevent accidental disconnection.
