VisualOn Introduces First Universal Content-Adaptive Encoding Solution For Video Streaming

VisualOn, a streaming solutions provider, has announced the launch of Optimizer, the industry’s first universal content-adaptive encoding (CAE) solution. The Optimizer enables service providers to reduce streaming costs and improve viewing experiences without ever touching their existing infrastructures. The AI-enhanced CAE solution offers unparalleled performance and seamless integration with existing encoding and delivery systems.

The Optimizer utilizes an innovative real-time, continuous CAE approach to analyze live and VOD content, determining the best transcoder settings for outstanding video quality and lower bitrates. Using the Optimizer, service providers can reduce bitrates by an average of 40% and up to 70% to improve video service bandwidth, storage costs, service scalability, and user experience through a drastic improvement in QoE KPIs and energy savings. At the same bitrate, the Optimizer can also improve video quality, as more bits are available.

With FFmpeg, the Optimizer can be deployed on bare metal, virtual machines, the private cloud, or public cloud, for both VOD and live workflows. The Optimizer has undergone extensive benchmarking and has been successfully deployed by global service providers, showing consistent results.

VisualOn will showcase the Optimizer at IBC 2023.
