Vidispine Partners With MoovIT For Powerful Adobe Workflow Integration

Vidispine, Arvato Systems’ brand that provides scalable IT solutions for media and industry, has announced that its state-of-the-art media asset management (MAM) portfolio is now integrated with market leading project management solution ‘Helmut’ from Cologne- based video and IT specialists MoovIT Software Products.

With this integration, customers can take advantage of efficient and straight forward project management of editing projects for Adobe Premiere as well as enhanced automation of routine processes to accelerate and simplify production.

‘Helmut’ organizes editing projects in professional video production environments that use Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Audition. The products in the ‘Helmut’ ecosystem can manage projects, templates, preferences and profiles, control project-related assets from ingest to export and organize storage systems. All of this is now seamlessly integrated into the Media Service Platform VidiNet.

The tight integration gifts producers and editors with direct access to the VidiCore repository from within Adobe Premiere. ‘Helmut’ creates and manages Premiere projects and makes them accessible in the Vidispine products like MediaPortal. StreamEngine, the integral element of ‘Helmut’ that connects and controls all of the underlying processes, automatically uploads rendered videos to VidiCore and triggers any desired workflows.

“Our vision is to give every customer the opportunity to define their own workflows in order to make content creation as simple and efficient as possible”, says David Merzenich, Managing Director at MoovIT Software Products. “The partnership with Arvato Systems makes it possible to take the solutions of both companies to the next level to offer the customer the most flexible and agile media production solution on the market. VidiNet and Helmut in combination are a real powerhouse for creative and stress-free work processes. We are excited that Arvato Systems will resell Helmut globally, offering the integrated solution from a single source.”

Holger Noske, Vice President of Content Platform at Arvato Systems, adds: “In the past, we were repeatedly asked by customers whether we could integrate our products with those of MoovIT. We have now taken this step and integrated the best MAM system into the best project management solution for Adobe Premiere. Helmut can access the VidiCore repository directly and the flexible workflow management enables customers to find an optimal solution that is tailored to the respective workflow. It is because of Vidispine’s and Helmut’s supremely flexible and robust workflow engines and APIs that we can easily adapt to almost any customer requirement.”

The integration is available immediately for new and existing customers.
