Bolivia TV HD Upgrades With FOR-A

Broadcaster Bolivia TV has purchased a variety of FOR-A kit for its transition to HD. The La Paz-based public broadcaster ordered video switchers, character generators, signal processors and routing switchers.

Included in the purchase are ten HVS-110 portable vision switchers which offer mixed HD/SD input, frame synchronising, re-sizing engine, 2.5D wipe effects, DVE, Chroma keyer and DSK. Bolivia TV also selected ten MFR-3232 routing switchers - a 32-input, 32-output unit that includes an interface function for synchronous operation by linking multiple cases, tally and automatic source name tracking connections with peripheral devices.

The broadcaster further purchased ten VTW-350HS HD/SD character generators and ten FOR-A FA-9520 signal processors. These dual channel multi purpose units feature up/down/cross/aspect conversion, full colour correction and automatic video optimiser , in addition to its functionality as a frame synchronizer.

“FOR-A has worked with Bolivia TV in the past, and I think that they’ve come to trust our products in their reliability,” said Mario Rodriguez, FOR-A’s Latin American sales manager. “I’m confident that our equipment will help Bolivia TV transition to HD production smoothly.”
