Broadcast Solutions Delivers New Ultra HD Outside Broadcast Fleet To TRT
Broadcast Solutions, a leading systems integrator and provider of innovative solutions for the broadcast media industry, is completing a contract to build eight outside broadcast units for TRT, the national public broadcaster in Turkey. The project, for two very large trailers and six mid-size rigid chassis trucks, is the largest single order for outside broadcast units yet accomplished by Broadcast Solutions.
TRT is a major producer of content as well as broadcaster and has always maintained a large inventory of outside broadcast vehicles. With significant events coming up, including major European football competitions and a critical NATO summit in Ankara in July 2026, TRT looked for a major refresh of the fleet.
The two trailer units are scaled for up to 23 Ultra HD cameras, including slow motion and ultra slow motion and the six rigid chassis trucks are made for up to 12 UHD cameras.
TRT is making a strategic transition from SDI to IP connectivity across all of its technical operations. To ensure flexibility, the new vehicles were designed from the ground up to be hybrid, operating with 12G-SDI as well as IP.
