Mola TV Deploys Viaccess-Orca Secure Video Player For English Premier League Coverage In Indonesia

Viaccess-Orca (VO), a Paris based vendor of content protection and OTT software, has announced Indonesian video service provider Mola TV as a customer for its Secure Video Player.

Mola is using the player to deliver coverage of English Premier League (EPL) football matches. The player supports client-side advertising insertion (CSAI) capabilities to generate new revenue for Mola TV.

“Our goal is to deliver more than just live sports coverage of EPL matches — we want to provide fans with a personalized sports streaming experience,” said Ching Ping Lee, CTO at Mola TV. “VO Secure Video Player enables us to share insights about viewers with advertisers while keeping data secure and complying with privacy-related regulations. We’ve already integrated the player on more than 3 million devices.”

Mola TV’s revenues currently come from monthly subscriptions, which are integrated into backend systems for inventory management. By providing a Reactive Native framework, VO’s Secure Video Player enables faster app development across Android and iOS devices so that Mola TV can continuously enhance the viewer experience in record time to market.
