Tangerine Global And MediaKind Launch TV As A Service With Vubiquity Content
Media and network services provider Tangerine Global and video technology firm MediaKind have released a jointly developed TV-as-a-Service (TVaaS) platform called CITRUS MediaFirst.
Content is provided by Vubiquity, part of Amdocs Media, with over 300 premium live HD channels integrated into the service.
CITRUS MediaFirst provides cable, telco, and internet operators with a ready-made TVaaS platform, incorporating cloud technologies and web services in a modular infrastructure. The platform gives emerging operators the opportunity to create, manage, and deliver streaming services across multiple devices, while offering subscribers a more effective content recommendation and personalized experience through MediaFirst’s advanced data analytics, according to the two companies. Subscribers can stream from many device types, including Android TV, Amazon FireTV, Amazon FireTV Stick, AppleTV, iOS phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, computer browsers, and various smart TVs.
Content from Vubiquity will be delivered to operators from national or regional PoPs. Operators have the flexibility to deploy and scale their service to a national, regional, or local level.
