BNJ FM, a French-Language radio station in Switzerland, has expanded its audience appeal by televising its programs with a new Broadcasting Center Europe (BCE) StudioTalk integrated production studio.
Broadcasting three radio programs for the counties of Neuchâtel, the Jura and the Bernese Jura in Switzerland, BNJ FM focuses on news and music for the French-speaking population of the Swiss Jura ARC. The pop-rock music radio is now seen (and heard) via FM, DAB +, web and via mobile applications.

Through a single touchscreen graphic user interface and a dedicated remote, BNJ FM staff can now control PTZ cameras installed in the studio, the incoming and outgoing feeds and the studio sets.
The system offers many branding options such as predefined sets and skins and also allows the integration of new elements for maximum customization. The sets are then synchronized with the interactions and scenarios of the programs.
StudioTalk also allows the easy integration of promos, commercials, music clips, stories or any other visual content in your playlists, as well as an automatic camera management system and the display of secondary events matching each particular program.
Remotely controlled PTZ cameras in the radio studio bring TV viewers in on the action.
While BNJ already has a portal where its viewers can access video content (BNJ.tv), the station wanted to allow its audience to watch the programs live and even interact on-demand videos afterwards. StudioTalk provides the station with a complete video production infrastructure that supports the live production of the daily shows and streaming to its website as well as its social networks.
Olivier Waty, Technology & Project Director at BCE, said that watching radio is the new trend in the radio/TV market and StudioTalk is designed to address that in a variety of ways.
He said that because of its experience in radio and TV, BCE was looking forward to meet the needs of its customers to enrich the radio world. StudioTalk is a simple solution that offers professional features and a final rendering of the highest quality.
