With its headquarters in Munich, Chrosziel has been supplying camera hardware and lens control equipment to the film and television production markets since 1973.
The company develops and manufactures a range of precision mechanical, optical and electronic products, including Matte Boxes, Sunshades, Fluid-Zoom-Drives and follow-focus-controls such as the Studio Rig and DV Studio Rig. Other specialist products are wireless remote control systems including the DigiFOX follow focus and Aladin multichannel lens controller.
Chrosziel also produces maintenance equipment for servicing and regular testing of lenses and cameras; these include the Universal CamCollimator, Lens CamCollimator and the MK5 Projector. The company supplies a number of equipment packages. The 4K Kit Allround MD 602 comprises the Matte Box 602-01 together with a Swing-Away Unit for faster changing of lens and accessories, bridge plate rods, filter holders and other brackets and supports. The FS700 recorder kit MD456 is a shoulder-mount designed for a Sony NEX-FS700UK 4k camcorder; it comes with a matte box, leather grips, a mounting plate and ancillary items. Chrosziel also produces a range of fluid zoom drives designed to work with a range of prominent lenses, including Angenieux, Canon, Nikon, Schneider. Of its camera supports, the FlowCine Gravity One is a two-axis gimbal construction designed to stabilise handheld and other moving shots. The Aladin2 is Chrosziel's lens remote controller aimed at the broadcast market. It includes the Aladin MkII receiver/motor control unit, interface base and Hirose camera lens port module and is intended for both cine and 4k-style work.
