NTP Technology was founded in Denmark in 1958 and is now a leading developer, manufacturer and supplier of digital routing systems for leading radio and television broadcasters round the world. Since 2003 the company has been a member of the Dan Technologies group of companies, one of the largest suppliers in the Nordic region of professional video, audio and system equipment for radio and television stations and post-production facilities.
In December 2008 NTP Technology bought Digital Audio Denmark (DAD), a well-known name in high-quality analogue-to-digital and digital-to-analogue converters, giving it a further line of professional products alongside its IP audio routers,3G/HD/SD-SDI audio embedding and de-embedding devices, analogue and digital audio I/O and cross-platform audio routing control software.
The Penta range is a key part of NTP Technology's offering. It features the Penta 725 series, a new generation of compact audio routers that enable audio routing systems to be built on a modular basis. It is housed in a 1U 19-inch chassis and has a capacity of 384x384 cross points with AES3 and optical MADI interfaces. An extension to this is the Penta 725 IP audio router, which allows enables broadcast quality audio over IP Layer 3-based Gigabit Ethernet with sub-millisecond latency. It has 1024x 1024 cross-points with 64 bi-directional channels over IP, 64 AES3 I/O channels and six optical MADI or router connection interfaces housed in a 1U 19-inch chassis.
