MIS produces software for the television market, working with both broadcasters and media sellers. The Prague-based company was established in 1995 and initially supplied MS-DOS applications.
Its current product was introduced in 1998 and now is based on modern technology with the ORACLE scaleable database as the core. As well as providing and supporting TV stations with operational software, MIS also works in advertisement sales, where the MISTV program can be used as a media independent sales tool. Now employing 16 people, MIS is involved in four main market activities: software development, consulting, customer support and web-based services.
The company works on an external consultant basis for special projects and has partnerships that have increased its development capacity. MIS' product range comprises: the Station Management System, Air-time Sales, Online Business Analyser (OBA) and MISnet for internet sales. The Station Management System handles all main TV channel operations, covering programme planning and presentations, with focus on programme acquisition, programme planning and the media library. This is complemented by the Air-time Sales program, with tools for commerce activities such as inventory and invoice management, amongst other tasks. The OBA is a reporting tool capable of producing standard reports through to more sophisticated management information and integrated data marts. MISnet is able to identify available sites and handle pages management, as well as providing delivery analysis and online interfaces with external delivery systems.
