Over forty years of manufacturing batteries for the film and video market, German company Cine 60 has progressed from battery packs to producing NiMH (nickel-metal hydride) rechargeable blocks, with integrated chargers and modern V-Mounts.
Cine 60's main range today is the BLOQ family of LFP cells. These can offer between 12V to 24V uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) by combining a number of BLOQ units, with the capacity to deliver higher voltages, for example 230V, for fluorescent lamps and other electronic equipment on set.
The BLOQ 1100V high-power V-Mount batteries offer: one hour charging time (with the BLOQ Charger), a fast charging process that helps reduce the total number of batteries needed on the set; two hours-plus runtime for modern HD camcorders, such as Sony PDW700, Panasonic AJ-HPX 2100/3700; 150W continuous output with no damage to the cells; and more than 1000 cycles life expectancy. Four individual cells can be combined as a 4x4 package to deliver a powerful source with a voltage of 12.8V or 25.6V, which is selected using a mechanical switch. Cine 60 also produces the BLOQ 220V adapter, charger, electronic belt, BLOQBuffer and power packs.
