Cinedeck Brings cineXcloud, cineXjobs and cineXapi to IBC

Cinedeck can rescue deliverable files from minor mistakes with simple insert edits via the cloud

Cinedeck, the developer of cineXtools, which is a multi-codec, file-based insert editing tool for making changes into rendered master files, will be bringing cineXcloud to IBC 2017.

Enabling virtualization of their insert editing capabilities, this will unlock wider, data center deployment of cineX insert edit technology.

Or, as Charles Dautremont, CTO of Cinedeck told The Broadcast Bridge, “This allows you low-level access to the back end of cineXtools from a MAM front end to make changes to files without re-encoding or re-wrapping them.”

The company also demonstrated cineXjobs, a workflow engine for the creation of pre-defined file and folder based processes, and cineXapi which provides unrestricted API and command-line access to the full complement of cineXtools functions.

The amount of time these tools can save is enormous, because instead of having to re-master an entire rendered project to make a ten second correction, cineXcloud can deliver the corrected material from a remote facility, as an insert edit, cineXjobs can schedule the operation, and integrating cineXapi into the workflow turns any MAM into a true file management environment by providing complete direct access to the full complement of cineXtools functions.
