Free System Audit from ZeeVee at 2016 NAB Show

Manufacturers have, of late, been looking for different ways to get visitors on their stands during major trade shows, other than offering free drink or prize raffles. An increasingly popular device is some performance-related service and during this year’s NAB Show ZeeVee will be accessing network infrastructure compliance for people visiting its standing at the Vegas show in April.
ZeeVee produces video and signal distribution equipment, including the HDBridge 2000 series of RF over coax units for composite, component, HDMI and HD-SDI systems; the ZvPRo, which is for lower channel count applications but adds IP over CATx capability; and the ZyPer4k, a unit that carries uncompressed video over IP fibre or CATx using standard 10G Ethernet networking and can run at up to 4k for Ultra HD projects.
At the 2016 NAB show ZeeVee will offer reviews of a broadcaster's ability to comply with best practices and policy, as well as being able to maintain high quality video distribution workflows. Of those visitors that take part in this audit one will take home a free 24-channel, 1080p HDBridge video distribution system.
The review will involve accessing: the number of channels being used; the number of channels a user would ideally want; the existing channel set-up for both assigned and virtual sources; the number of HD and SD channels being used or required; the models of encoders and modulators being used; the providers of video sources; and the type of video sources and assignments.
Commenting on the scheme, Chris Scurto, vice president of marketing and North American sales for ZeeVee, said, "We are confident that our products can deliver benefits at a substantial saving versus traditional matrix solutions [so we] are prepared to invest our engineering resources to survey prospective customers' networks and existing video distribution equipment."
ZeeVee will also be showing its full range of IP and RF/coax distribution products during the 2016 NAB Show from 16 to 21 April.
