IRT Presents MXF Innovations at IBC2015

The IRT MXF Analyser Professional 4.0 now also supports the additional essences types AVC Long GOP and AAC Audio and features multi-instancing and floating licensing. For the first time ever, you can experience the MXF Analyzer as a web service (SaaS) provided via the leading cloud computing platform Microsoft Azure.
On time for IBC2015, IRT will present a whole range of solutions around MXF. The MXF file format (Material eXchange Format) has proven successful in file-based TV production as a flexible container format for storing the most different types of essences and metadata.
IRT’s leading quality management tool MXF Analyser supports the new version 4.0 next to the essence types DNxHD, DV/DIF, IMX/D10, MPEG-2, JPEG 2000, PCM audio and MPEG 4/AVC-I now also the formats AVC Long GOP (AVC proxy, XAVC, AVC-Ultra) and AAC audio.
New from version 4.0 is the option to obtain floating licenses on the MXF Analyser. Thereby, the MXF Analyser software can be optimally adapted to the customer needs for using it at varying workplaces.
With the MXF Analyser Cloud Service on the leading cloud computing platform Microsoft Azure, IRT offers for the first time new ways in using the MXF Analyser. IRT’s experts inform at the booth about the new product, the features and applications in practice.
The basis for the MXF Analyser 4.0 release is the enhanced MXF-SDK which has been jointly specified, developed and extensively tested with the partner MOG Solutions, Portugal, in order to cover the latest market requirements. In addition to functional enhancements concerning the MXF validation options, the run-time performance of the MXF Analyser was increased.
In the frame of its services related to the topic “MXF” IRT also offers the analysis and certification of individual MXF files in accordance with the MXF profiles for HD program material as specified by ARD, ZDF, ORF and arte. The last version 1.1 of these MXF profiles was published in June 2015. The conformity of an analysed MXF file is confirmed with an IRT certificate.
