ChyronHego Expands Storytelling At IBC 2019

The graphics that were once just the topping on the cake have now become integral to the whole sports watching experience thanks in large part to ChyronHego.

ChyronHego is emphasizing new visual storytelling tools for live news, sports, and in-venue production at their booth in Hall 7 of the RAI Convention Center at IBC 2019 with a series of dynamic presentations every half hour called #ChyronHegoLIVE to demonstrate all the new tools they have brought to the international show in Amsterdam.

You are going to have to plan a whole show floor strategy if you want to get the most out of them, so here is a guide to help you.

Their IBC2019 Technology Showcase will be headlined by the latest from their CAMIO Universe for multiplatform news content creation and delivery.

The latest CAMIO system publishes content to the web and social media.

The latest CAMIO system publishes content to the web and social media.

At its heart will be the CAMIO 4.7 graphic asset management system that now has an HTML5-based user interface for newsroom producers, letting them save items, swap templates, and create streaming proxies.

A new feature in CAMIO is the ability to deliver enhanced support for playout using the latest version 3.5 of PRIME Graphics, the company’s universal graphics platform. You will also see its new Media Engine architecture in action, rendering stills and animations in numerous media workflows to maximize every pixel.

To create and playout those graphics, the just-released LyricX 4 now has enhanced auto-hide features for building more logic into a scene and an all-new advanced keyboard with flex keys, configurable to support over 300 commands.

For broadcast sports, couch quarterbacks have come to expect features such as virtual first-down lines in football or replays in which analysts circle players and draw their movements on the screen, while also increasing sponsor visibility and revenue.

Check out ChyronHego’s Paint and Virtual Placement systems for real time data visualization in live sports broadcasting.

But the new Paint 8.1 goes further by enabling an automatic chroma keyer for clips that will save users hours of time, as well as style and UI updates.

And, you can see a preview of Virtual Placement 7.3, featuring an automatic chroma keyer for live, field-based sports that completely removes the need for rekeying.

With PRIME 3.5, every play and every pixel counts.

Of course, a lot of graphics work is seen in stadium and with ChyronHego’s Click Effects PRIME any venue can tailor their AV presentations to any size with any number of outlets. Click Effects PRIME now combines SDI and GPU workflows to drive more screens and aspect ratios from one central system.

At IBC 2019 there will be as much action in the ChyronHego exhibit as on the field so strategize your time carefully.
