Sound Devices Introduces 833 Portable Compact Mixer-Recorder At IBC 2019

Sound Devices announced the new 833, featuring six mic/line preamplifiers, eight channels, a 256 GB internal SSD and dual L-Mount charging and powering. 

Sound Devices said the 833 is small, lightweight and compact. It has six mic/line preamplifiers, eight channels, 12 tracks, six analog outputs and ultra-accurate timecode.

Many features have carried over from the Sound Devices’ Scorpio, including the updated preamplifier design, two SD card slots, dual L-Mount charging and powering and an internal 256GB SSD. The 833 features Dugan Automixing for up to eight channels.

At IBC, Sound Devices will also show its updated MixPre Series and Scorpio mixer/recorder. All models feature 32-bit float recording, internal timecode generation, sample rates of up to 192 kHz and 142 dB of dynamic range.
