Mavic Pro – folder with remote control.
DJI had its latest range of filmmaking tools on show including the Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom and the DJI Ronin-S.
The Ronin-S is a handheld stabilisation system for DSLR and mirrorless cameras with three-axis gimbal technology. Powerful high-torque motors support a payload of up to 3.6kg to accommodate the camera and lens combinations like the Canon 1D and 5D, Panasonic GH and Sony Alpha series. Users have a control over camera parameters settings for compatible cameras. Its stabilisation system compensates for zoom lenses with external zooming barrels and higher magnification ratios, while its advanced stabilisation algorithms work with both in-camera and in-lens optical stabilisation technology.
In 2018, DJI introduced new ‘cinema grade’ tools with DJI Master Wheels and DJI Force Pro that offer professional gimbal control solutions and capture of complex shots.
In August, DJI introduced two additions to its Mavic series: Mavic 2 Pro, the world’s first drone with an integrated Hasselblad camera, and Mavic 2 Zoom, a foldable consumer drone with optical zoom capability.
The Mavic 2 is claimed as the most advanced DJI camera drone ever built, designed for professionals, aerial photographers and content creators. Incorporating the folding design it has advanced features like Hyperlapse and ActiveTrack for more dynamic storytelling and has a flight time of up to 31 minutes and a more stable video transmission system than previously.
