Arvato Systems To Integrate MAM to Object Matrix Storage

Germany’s Arvato Systems is integrating its Video Management Production Suite (VPMS) – media asset management software – on board MatrixStore, the object storage solution from Object Matrix. It’s a result of Arvato’s acquisition of Vidispine.

MatrixStore has been integrated with the Vidispine platform enabling automated ingest, media management and archive workflows since 2012. The recent acquisition, and subsequent integration of Vidispine technologies by Arvato makes the tech partnership logical.

“The media landscape is more competitive than ever before, meaning media companies are looking for new ways to monetize the content they own,” states Nick Pearce-Tomenius, Sales & Marketing Director, Object Matrix. “Having a collaborative, and tightly integrated platform makes it much easier to not only automate workflows, making processes more efficient but also find and monetize content within the library, no matter when it was created. Integrating our media focused hybrid cloud platforms with modern, flexible and intuitive applications such as VPMS EditMate will bring many benefits to our customers.”

The combined solution is already being considered by existing customers of both Object Matrix and Arvato Systems as broadcasters look to benefit from having instant access to all their assets from ingest to production and archive.
