Third-party integration with Aspera, Avid, Adobe and others to be presented in Amsterdam.
Two years on from Telestream’s acquisition of IneoQuest, the company will demonstrate what it describes as real life projects where the merged technologies are “tangibly increasing efficiency, reducing operational and infrastructure costs.”
Two such projects are at German cable network operator, Unitymedia and at Fox Sports in the US.
Unitymedia is adopting video monitoring and analytics platforms throughout its network, which serves over seven million consumers. In addition, Telestream will supply intelligent media processing and file-based quality control, creating a solution to provide robust, automated quality assurance to better serve millions of Unitymedia viewers.
Televising this summer’s FIFA World Cup, the FOX Sports Operations & Engineering team avoided the creation of entirely new facilities in Russia and the movement of staff to Russia for the duration of the tournament, by investing more in its Los Angeles facility. Integration between Telestream Vantage and Lightspeed Live and IBM’s Aspera FASPStream enables high-quality streaming to remote production teams for near real-time editing and production over standard IP networks.
Elsewhere on its stand, Telestream will show Lightspeed Live with fresh features that streamline ingest for Avid workflows; and a new Avid Production Asset Monitor in Vantage which supports MediaCentral directory monitoring and allows Vantage to trigger jobs from MediaCentral ‘virtual directories’.
Also new at IBC, Vantage Post Producer’s Titler Engine allows for processing of NewBlue Titler Pro templates as part of Post Producer workflows for rich, animated graphics and titles. In addition, Titler Designer Pro now supports the import of Adobe After Effects projects direct into Vantage workflows.
Another IBC first will be Wirecast Restream: a cloud-based redistribution service that restreams live feeds to any additional destinations simultaneously, saving bandwidth and processing power.
Visitors to the booth will see how the company’s iQ Solutions deliver actionable intelligence at every level of the content delivery lifecycle. Telestream will showcase a number of advances in its Surveyor ABR Active 3.0 probes, which are available on both S-ABR Active and S-ABR Active Compact servers as well as all virtual packages.
