Link Electronics Demo New Automated Captioning Engine

The Link Electronics ACE-2200 automatically converts speech to text and sends the text out with captioning data, either by RS 232 Serial or TCP/IP. The proven technology averages 95% accuracy in both English and Spanish, with a 3-5 second average delay.

The Link Electronics NAB exhibit featured the ACE-2200 Automated Captioning Engine for converting speech into captioning data to be sent to a closed captioning encoder. With software included for either live captioning or post-production environments, its robust design provides one-stop efficiency for all captioning needs.

The feature-rich ACE-2200 includes a user-friendly Graphical User Interface (GUI), event scheduler/task manager, and selectable on-screen caption location. Designed for two through four-line roll-up captions, and compatible with most closed captioning encoders or devices, the ACE-2200 is ideal for applications involving closed captioning in a studio or in the field.

When using ACE-2000 software, this unit will accept audio from multiple sources including SDI, HDMI, AES or from streaming audio and convert the audio speech into text captioning data automatically. In addition, the unit can accept audio using http, tcp, udp, mmsh, and most types of rstp and rtmp, including most commonly used codecs.

With ACE-2100 software, this unit can take audio or audio/video files and create a transcription of the captioned file for editing and archiving. The edited caption file will then sync with the audio content for a more accurate and faster caption experience.

For remote controlling of the device, the ACE-2200 has a web-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) that contains an event scheduler, allowing the user to use different audio inputs and caption outputs on demand, with selectable caption location.

The unit comes preset with standard audio and caption data outputs for Link Electronics encoders, making setup for the device quick and efficient. The ACE-2200 is also available in two convenient bundles. The ACE-2200/492 includes the SCE-492 superior caption encoder, and the ACE-2200/494 includes the AIP-494 caption encoder and audio over IP creating a complete automated captioning and encoding solution. The ACE-2200 is backed by 1-year warranty and free 24/7 customer support.
