VTQ Videotronik

VTQ Videotronik emerged from the radio and television industries in Germany and in the course of over 45 years has been built up into a medium sized company with 150 employees developing and manufacturing electronic components and devices.

As well as offering electronic manufacturing services to other companies it produces its own range of wireless systems, which are used in broadcast, film and TV and also for surveillance, defence and security purposes. There are two wireless packages for broadcast, film and TV: the VTQ BCS HD and the VTQ WMS HD. BCS (Broadcast Complete Solution) HD is a live broadcast system for mobile cameras in use at TV coverage of live shows or sports events. It is a COFDM based broadcast system for professional applications, featuring all transmitter and receiver units completely equipped with intercom and CCU for the control of common camera types.

The transmission units are designed to be very light and compact and are available with V-Mount or G-Mount, so no special modifications are necessary. Because of this the system can be used for Steadicam applications. The compact receivers are housed in 19-inch racks with optional two-way or six-way MRC Diversity tuners. This makes it possible to integrate the mobile camera network with studios or other locations. The WMS (wireless monitoring system) HD is a COFDM video assist package for directors and camera assistants. It connects to a production network, with the wireless capability removing the need for restricting and annoying cables. The COFDM technology makes for the best possible video quality, free from interference with no image dropouts at runs of up to 5km.
