The C-72T is claimed to deliver 200 percent increase in read performance over previous entry-level nodes, and a 300 percent increase in storage density over previous high-performance hybrid node. It also debuts automated Cross-Protocol Permissions.
Move over, Information Age: it’s time for the Knowledge Age.
We just returned from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) 2019 convention in Las Vegas, and while the show featured some very impressive technology, the most sought-after attractions featured a healthy dose of thought leadership.
The upcoming version of the Archiware P5 Software Suite features new technology and interface design. Also shown at NAB were the latest partnerships with storage manufacturer LumaForge, EditShare and KYNO.
The partnership sees iXsystems’ TrueNAS storage line running natively under Cantemo’s cloud video hub, iconik.
The collaboration combines Telestream Vantage and Cloudian HyperStore technologies to provide intelligence for search and analysis of media files by leveraging automated enriched metadata tagging.
At the 2019 NAB Show, Quantum Corp. will unveil a new flash-based storage appliance designed to streamline and improve media workflows. It’s based on Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) technology, which is an open logical device interface specification for accessing non-volatile storage media attached via a PCI Express (PCIe) bus.
Along with Walmart Event Solutions and Cinesys-Oceana, Scale Logic will create a “Knowledge Zone” for NAB attendees who need expert insight about media management and asset protection.
The new F-Series line of non-volatile memory express (NVMe) flash drives supports ultra-fast reads and writes and massive parallel processing and is for studio editing, rendering, and other performance-intensive workloads. Quantum says it’s the most significant product launch its done in years because it’s the first based on the Quantum Cloud Storage Platform.
The firm’s object based storage solutions are being integrated via API with Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and Amazon Glacier.
