SAM to Show ICE CiaB and New Morpheus Automation GUI at NAB Show NY

At NAB Show NY, SAM will introduce a completely reconfigurable HTML-5 graphic user interface for its playout automation and Channel-in-a-Box systems.

At the NAB Show New York, SAM will showcase its ICE Channel-in-a-Box in conjunction with the new Morpheus UX GUI for automation.

ICE is SAM’s Channel-in-a-Box solution. ICE and Morpheus Automation will be on display to demonstrate how SAM meets the demands of delivering video content to more platforms and devices than ever before.

Morpheus has a new Morpheus UX HTML-5 browser-based graphic user interface that facilitates deployment of a fully customizable control and monitoring UI for playout applications.

SAM recently announced that the ICE Channel-in-a-Box is now available in as software deployable system: ICE SDC (Software Defined Channel). ICE SDC is the first software play-out solution that allows the deployment of a fully populated channel and can be deployed as a service either on premises, remotely deployed, or AWS public cloud.

ICE integrates more functionality than other Channel-in-a-Box solutions – saving money while delivering more than just the basic features of automation, storage, and graphics. ICE includes an extensive toolset to manage playout operations, including single channel, multi-channel, multi-region, and multi-platform environments.

The range includes ICE SDC and ICE IP, both of which are new technology implementations of CiaB systems.

The ICE range of Channel-in-a-Box solutions dramatically increases efficiency while reducing complexity. It integrates all the operational, technical, regulatory, and commercial functionality required for broadcast playout environments. ICE is a proven system that lowers costs, and makes it easy to launch new revenue-generating services to grow business.

Morpheus is a scalable, multi-channel and multi-screen playout automation solution that is perfect for enterprise-scale applications such as national broadcasters, sports, network origination, centralcasting and business continuity. Whether controlling 3rd party devices, SAM’s ICE Channel-in-a-Box, or virtualized IP solution ICE SDC, Morpheus offers a path to the future of playout at a pace that fits the channel.
