Your trek deep into the world of digital audio should begin by learning as much as possible about AoIP. The Broadcast Bridge now brings you a three-part series written by digital audio expert Andreas Hildebrand, RAVENNA. Hildebrand leads the reader through a high-level, three-part series on building AoIP networks. If your facility is considering digital audio networks, the first step should be to read, “Your Practical Guide To AES67- Part 1,” so you can make smart network and equipment-buying decisions.

Consultant Tony Orme has just published a new a book, “Building IP Media Facilities.” One chapter in that tutorial focuses on how to integrate audio into the all-IP facility. In this The Broadcast Bridge article he discusses the challenges often present with AoIP and how to resolve them. Read his tutorial Understanding IP Networks - Audio Integration at this link.
