Sixty Partners with Unified Streaming

Sixty, an interactive TV company, has a partnership with Unified Streaming which will enable the former’s broadcaster and operator customers to have greater flexibility in reaching their audiences across multiple devices and platforms.

By integrating Sixty’s graphics solution, Ease Live, with Unified Streaming's Unified Origin streaming solution, broadcasters have tools to deliver interactive viewing experiences across Adobe (HDS), Apple HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), MPEG-DASH and Microsoft Smooth Streaming.

Unified Streaming’s Unified Origin solution enables broadcasters and content owners to stream media content from one unified source to multiple clients and devices, and includes additional features such as content protection, restart TV, time-shift, catch-up TV, subtitles, and multiple language and audio tracks.

“The combination of Sixty’s on-air graphics technology and our expertise in delivering cost-effective and efficient video solutions will play a highly influential role in delivering smart, interactive video streaming technologies to a host of viewers all over the world,” said Simon Westbroek, VP Global Sales, Unified Streaming. “Through our collaboration, broadcasters will be able to deliver highly immersive and exciting innovations across all streaming platforms, devices and codec-types, maximising both viewer and outreach programme value. We are delighted to become Sixty’s first streaming partner and together, we look forward to enabling multi-platform viewers access to the best possible viewing experiences.”
