Skyline Communications Updates DataMiner

According to company CEO Ben Vandenberghe, “DataMiner manages the most complex media workflows transparently across any technology: bespoke, virtualized or running in the public cloud, regardless of vendor or cloud services provider.”

The latest version of DataMiner 9.5 has artificial intelligence-powered DataMiner Advanced Analytics (DAA) and new dashboards and reports modules; user-definable end-to-end Service and Resource Management (SRM) across any devices, microservices and IP links (incl SMPTE 2022 and SMTPE 2110) and boasts integration into any existing OSS/BSS environment (OSS/BSS Gateway).

Putting this in context, Steven Soenens, VP Product Marketing at Skyline says, “Complex workflows need to be developed and deployed in a highly dynamic manner, distributed in the cloud, running at scale without interruptions.

“Management of data center infrastructures, media services and associated SLAs requires advanced intelligence that reaches far beyond the level of human understanding. Emerging standards in the world of broadcast, such as SMPTE 2022-and SMPTE 2110 add data-plane interoperability to media over IP streams (MoIP). As a result, the next big challenge our industry faces is the end-to-end orchestration of media workflows.

“Effective management of resources and capacity of the underlying stack, including data center, spine-leaf capacity, virtual machines, containers and microservices, has become very strategic to any operation. DataMiner 9.5 has all that is needed to plan and execute media workflows seamlessly across any type of infrastructure and deployment stack.”
