Avioon Debuts Flics Cloud Transcoder

German-based Avioon is launching a commercial version of its Flics transcoding platform and releasing a new version of its Jobs workflow orchestration tool. Flics is a video transcoding on demand solution for Cloud, on premise and in hybrid environments.

Its attributes include automatic scaling and load distribution; 4/8K-ready file-based and live transcoding; GPU-accelerated computing and open APIs for integration and customisation.

Avioon's Jobs tool masters the integration of complex media. From ingest to distribution, you can connect, manage and monitor file processing in automated workflows for optimal operation, informs the company. Its attributes include BPMN workflow modelling and processing; Integration with production ecosystems; Self-service management and configuration and file analysis and metadata-based decisions.

Both tools were previewed at NAB and are available for demos in Amsterdam.
