SMPTE Announce Free Educational Seminar with Phabrix

Phabrix has announced their upcoming seminar: ‘IP, UHD & HDR test and measurement challenges explained’.

Presented by Phabrix's founder and managing director, Phillip Adams, the seminar will review the challenges faced by broadcasters from a signal quality and standards compliance perspective as they transition to next generation video formats. Held in Thatcham, near Newbury, UK, the event will start with light refreshments, and will combine a presentation, live demonstrations, and plenty of opportunities for networking amongst broadcast professionals.

The seminar will look at the migration from HD to 12G-SDI, SDR to HDR/WCG, and SDI to IP. The speakers include: Phillip Adams, who is a test & measurement specialist; and Martin Mulligan, the sales & operations director at Phabrix.

These new formats will be explained during the event, and an overview of the relevant SMPTE standards will be offered. The seminar will also introduce the new types of test & measurement instruments required for HDR and IP video.

The seminar is scheduled June 15 2017. Registration for the event is free, and can be found through this link
