ZeeVee to Debut ZyPerUHD 1Gb Solution

ZyPerUHD distributes HDMI sources connected to a 1Gb Ethernet switch to a near infinite number of displays using Cat5/6 copper.
The new ZeeVee ZyPerUHD is designed to simplify video transport and distribution over IP with a virtual plug and play configuration with the ZyPer Management platform and nearly any off-the-shelf 1Gb Ethernet switch.
At InfoComm 2017, ZeeVee will unveil the ZyPerUHD, its newest video distribution platform that delivers ultra-low latency, compressed video with up to Ultra-HD/4K resolution using an off-the-shelf 1Gb Ethernet switch.
ZyPerUHD offers HDMI input with HDMI loop-out, and balanced audio input/output ports for managing audio. It offers USB connectivity for integration with touch panels and KVM as well as IR and RS-232 for integrating third party control systems. ZyPerUHD is compatible with ZeeVee’s MaestroZ Management Platform making configuration simple and rapid.
The ZyPerMP (Management Platform) auto-detects encoders and decoders upon connection, simplifying configuration and system setup. System certification or formal training for system setup and configuration is unnecessary.
Compressed or uncompressed
The uncompressed 10 Gb ZyPer4K debuted at the 2017 NAB Show. Both ZyPer4K and ZyPerUHD are switching and video distribution solutions for IP and fiber. The ZyPer4K has zero latency. ZyPerUHD latency is < 2 frames. Other specifications are similar.
The new ZyPerUHD is designed for 1Gb networks.
To move 4K content over an off-the-shelf (OTS) 1Gb Ethernet switch, ZyPerUHD uses JPEG 2000 compression for 4K video, audio and control. ZyPerUHD supports both analog and digital audio.
ZyPerUHD supports Power over Ethernet (PoE). It also supports HDR and can distribute to a video wall up to 5x5. Source and display control are RS232, IR and USB, and it is HDCP 2.2 compliant.
ZyPerUHD can also be used in a point-to-point configuration to encode a 4K video source across a dedicated copper connection to a display up to 100 meters away.
“ZeeVee continues to be at the forefront of new technologies to simplify video distribution – challenging conventional, and often proprietary, distribution systems, providing integrators total flexibility and scalability to future proof their end-customers’ investments,” stated Chris Scurto, Vice President, Business Development and Marketing, ZeeVee.
“We have been quick to innovate and expand our IP offering to support almost every video distribution requirement – from compressed HD to uncompressed, zero-latency UHD/4K video. Our IP portfolio provides integrators/installers with a full range of products that best fits their customer’s requirements allowing for greater flexibility and scalability as their AV needs change in the future,” Scurto concluded.
