KSAT recently upgrade its studio set and is now automating production activities with Ross OverDrive software.
KSAT, the ABC affiliate serving San Antonio and central and south Texas, has automated its news studio operations with a Ross Acuity Switcher and OverDrive Control System for producing news, weather and sports newscasts with a single operator.
Ross Video's OverDrive is a flexible production control system that enables control over all the devices used in a production environment. The Acuity switcher offers a wide range of connectivity combined with a range of operational flexibility that makes it the perfect fit for various production requirements.
“KSAT12 is one of the top ABC affiliates in the country and delivers breaking local news and information 24 hours a day,” said Phil Lane, VP and GM of KSAT. “We’re excited about deploying this Ross solution that will help us deliver more news and information than any other station in town, continuing to set KSAT apart from the competition. The KSAT team is known for an aggressive reporting style in our top-rated newscasts and for a daily, fast-paced lifestyle program, ‘SA Live’.”
The system is scheduled to go on air this summer.
