AccuWeather has announced AccuWeather Ready, a new cross-platform app that provides exclusive weather information, tools, alerts, and more to help users prepare for the upcoming winter weather season.
In addition to 24/7 weather information and updates on the AccuWeather Network, AccuWeather.com, the AccuWeather Ready program features in-app push notifications, personalized weather preparedness plans, tailored emergency kits with detailed shopping lists, educational weather news and videos, and an easy-to-use toolkit with actionable safety tips.
The AccuWeather Ready program demonstrates the company's commitment as a U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador. AccuWeather was named one of NOAA's first Ambassadors in the weather enterprise initiative, launched in 2014 to recognize organizations committed to helping the nation be better prepared for weather-related disasters.
With specific weather information by GPS location, AccuWeather says it is uniquely able to hyper-localize the weather data and provide the best preparedness focus that can save lives. The company said more than 1.5 billion people worldwide rely on AccuWeather for weather information.
